Deanna’s Fake Pecan Pie.

Deanna's Fake Pecan Pie.

Welcome to Fan Recipe Wednesdays! Today we have an awesome recipe sent into us from our great friend Deanna! This is Deanna’s “Fake Pecan Pie.” Here’s how to make it!

What you’ll need are:

4 eggs
1 1/4 c sugar
1/2 c + 2 Tbsp Butter, melted and cooled
… 3/4 c corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 Deep dish pie crust
___________

Topping:
1 1/2 c crushed pretzels
3 Tbsp melted butter
2 Tbsp sugar

Preheat the oven to 350F, beat together the eggs, sugar, corn syrup and vanilla in a bowl till it’s smooth and not grainy and pour the batter in the pie crust.

Crush the pretzels in a plastic bag, add them to a bowl with the butter and sugar and coat the pretzels. Spoon the pretzel mix over the pie crust and let them kinda sink into the custard. Place the pie on a baking sheet so there’s no spillage in your oven.

Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, then remove it and put foil over the pie and bake it for another 30 minutes.

Let cool and enjoy!
